Known Issues & Bugs

The purpose of this page is to let our customers know of issues we are aware of and any current work-arounds that may exist until these issues are fixed. If you find an issue that we are unaware of, please let us know!

Known Issues

• Imagespace: When you are viewing the details of an image and try to add it to the lightbox, you get an error.
• Imagespace: When using the Image manipulation tools to rotate or flop an image that was imported into the library with the wrong orientation, it's possible the user may need to hit ALT+Refresh to see the updated image in the browser. This is due to local browser cache settings. We are working on a way to override local browser cache settings to remedy this issue.
• Publishers: Hard returns in FCK Editor sometimes work, but sometimes create a new DIV, breaking structures. Current work around is to go into the source view and fix.
• Publishers: When editing a page and replacing an existing image on the current page by replacing a file in the file browser, the image might not refresh in the FCK Editor's view until after you save and refresh the page in the browser.
• Publishers: If a shared page uses a component or includes the content of another page within, it does not render that content when the shared page is pulled into its final destination. We are working this issue ongoing and have been limited by the client-server interactions.
• Publishers: Spell checker hangs up on pages that have email addresses. The encoding that FCK Editor uses to encode email addresses trips dotDefender because dotDefender thinks it is cross-site scripting.
• Publishers: In Internet Explorer, in order to edit text you must double click in the area you want to update before you can type in it. This is an IE specific issue.
• Publishers: In Safari 1 and 2, and in IE 6, 7 and 8, DIV tags can be inadvertantly deleted. We suggest Firefox since it is more difficult to delete the surrounding DIV.
• Publishers: When viewing pages in a page history, while the logic is in tact, components and shared content do not render in this view.
• Administrators: Holding table automated cleansing script that runs and looks at the submit date of an inquiry and if an email hasn't been validated after 3 days, we wipe it.
• Administrator: Navigation editor: Adding a page to a sub department will place physical file in the root of the parent department depending on how the departments are configured.
• Publishers: Navigation editor: Random issue of where you select a page or item to link to, it does not close the window upon selection.
• Publishers: Uploading an image with an extra period (or other odd, internet-illegal characters) will result in an error. We are working on a automatic renaming method.
• Publishers: Firefox 3.6 does not support the WYSIWYG and displays raw source code
• Imagespace: Ability to refine search criteria by pre-defined keyword "categories" in ImageSpace.
• Publishers: When editing a news release and adjusting the cropping of the imagery, the browser does not clear the cache to show you the accurate cropping. Current work-around is to hold ALT+Refresh (on the pc) or just clear your cache (on the mac) and then the proper cropping adjustment will display.
• Single quotes issue. If single quotes are used in the headline of a news release, they are actually converted to double quotes upon submission to the database. Editing the item and changing back to single quotes works. It's only on the submission. Current work-around it to edit the item and change them back to qingle-quotes.
• Profile picture not uploading from the "profile" page.
• Publishers: FCK Editor adds opening and closing paragraph tags (<p>component</p>) around components each time page is edited/saved. This may cause unwanted spacing. To remedy, replace the paragraph tags with a basic DIV tag (<div>component</div>). This will keep the FCK Editor from adding the paragraph tag when editing/saving in the future.
• Blog only lists 5 entries on any screen... regardless if there are more.

Recently Completed

• When in HELP pages, clicking the "Submit an inquiry" or "Search" buttons load the entire page tempalte into the box instead of just the contents.
• Collabora: If you click the "Un-archive selected projects" button at the bottom, without selecting any projects, it throws an error. We are adding validation.
• Blogs: Sharing a blog with another department does not update feeds or show the entry in the other department.
• Navigation editor: Does not properly convert special characters (i.e. TM and R marks) upon save.
• IE7: If you edit a page, but click the "Cancel" button, a dialogue appears asking if we are sure we navigate away from the page. Clicking yes or no, gives an error. Works fine in Firefox.
• Slush boxes for sharing items with other departments have been re-invented using jQuery for a smoother and easier experience.
• Add confirmation box on news tool when deleting image.
• News modify screen. Updated the form so that when you make a change to the item, and adjust image cropping before saving the form, your changes are not lost.
• Imagespace: When uploading high-res TIF images, the original file is renamed with the .jpg suffix but the TIF format is still in tact.
• Imagespace: Macintosh browser crashes when you select images to upload on the add batch screen.
• Dashboard: Clicking a name under "login activity" renders an error.
• Imagespace: When you are on the image details page and select multiple keywords (checkboxes) it gives an error
• Email links that are embedded on pages via the FCKeditor have a problem in IE. When you click the link, the page redirects to a white page that prints the email string on the page. It still pops up the email window, but the user has to use their back button to return to the page.
